Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) is the agency responsible for the Islamic affairs including halal certification in Malaysia. With regards to Halal Certification, JAKIM is responsible for ensuring the halal status of the product at every stage and process. Official site inspections are carried out to examine how the halal status of raw materials are maintained and monitored at all times.
